Timbuk2, pay attention

Backpacks, courier bags, and briefcases these days have a pocket, a clip or a strap for everything. Phone, PDA, ipod, keys, wallet, sunglasses, Sharpie, transit pass. Why is there no special pocket for a banana?

Funny you should mention this -- I just bought the pink Timbuk2 ipod case to attach to my messenger bag for my pink ipod mini. I love it!! Perhaps if you got mini bananas?

Good point! I end up not eating my bananas because they just aren't portable enough. I -still- regret not getting one of those mesh water bottle holders on my bag. They don't even offer that as an option anymore. Who doesn't want somewhere for a water bottle? It could even be a good place for a banana, come to think of it, away from the frakas of the books inside...

The mesh bag would actually make a nice banana hammock (snicker).

my friend jay has come up with a solution to your problem: flugels (or swimmies as you amateurs call them). in transporting sensitive fruit to work while bike commuting, jay realized that he needed some extra cushioning to keep his fruit from squishing and bruising. so he put his fruit inside a flugel & blew it up. voila! fruit safety!
