All flowers, all the time

Backyard blossom

We've lived in our current home less than a year and we keep finding pleasant surprises like these blooming in the back yard.

Oh.... resurrection lilies! When I moved to SF in '00, these were blooming and I was overwhelmed with memories the first time I smelled one. I had lived in CA until I was 6 years old and then moved to IL where these flowers didn't grow, so I had not remembered the smell. I was instantly transported back to my very youngest days in the rainy Marin hills. I miss those flowers.
