Back to reality

Ruins

Food TV is sort of like crack. Have you seen this new "Chefography" show? I never knew so much about Paula Deen. (Although my mother-in-law and I agree that she looks to be pretty drunk on her new show.) And then Ace of Cakes, that's some reality TV I can watch. Even Bobby Flay is entertaining. It's fluffy; it's non-challenging; most importantly, it involves minimal unscripted commentary. It's my kind of reality TV.

Upon returning from my run this afternoon, I found a used hypodermic needle on the sidewalk in front of our apartment.

And finally, Dave is the newly elected president of Team Roaring Mouse. Go Dave!

Congrats Dave!!

I watched the chefography on Nigella Lawson and it kind of made me hate her. The whole show was dedicated to how much she had to "struggle" in the cooking world because of how beautiful she is. Yes, that must have been a real hardship.

Ace of Cakes is awesome - though after every episode I have to fight the urge to either bake and decorate something that would undoubtedly be a disaster or buy and eat a whole cake from safeway.

Thanks for the Aruba recap - after you posted your first pic I kept nagging daniel about wanting to go there - now - not so much.

Yay dave!

I love Ace of Cakes! I'm going to a wedding shower in Baltimore and wanted them to do a cake, but too spendy! Do you ever watch Giada on Everyday Italian? Dan and I are mesmerized by her cleavage. Or maybe that's just me. Sorry about the needle on your doorstep-gross. And big congratulations to Dave!

i've been home sick since monday, and WITHOUT CABLE!!! this would be perfect time to watch food tv, but alas, i'm stuck w/ oprah's road trip.

what's this Ace of Cakes? sounds delish.
